Why do you do what you do, professionally?
My first exposure to accounting was in high school where I took two introductory accounting courses.  I immediately felt a connection with the balance of the process of recording and organizing financial data.  Throughout my college studies and preparing for the CPA exam, my interest only intensified.  The first part of my career was in public accounting and then a few years in the energy industry.  I am thoroughly grateful that my career path eventually led me to AACE where I have been given a priceless opportunity to continue to grow professionally.

What have you learned working at AACE? Or What do you enjoy most about working at AACE?
One of the things I enjoy most about working at AACE is the opportunity to work with such a creative and talented staff.  I am often awestruck at the enthusiasm of this team at AACE that is dedicated to providing the premier level of professional resources to our hard-working members, customers, and certificants. 

Tell us about your interests, family, and/or a fun fact!  
With our oldest child in veterinary school and our youngest getting ready to graduate high school and go off to college this year, most of my focus outside of work is on helping my kids set up their own future professional pathways.  My hope for them is that they find as much happiness in their future work as I have in mine.  In my time away from work I enjoy walking outside as much as possible.  Nothing relieves stress better than some fresh air!  I also indulge from time to time in my never-ending quest to find life hacks to add simplicity to everyday tasks and chores.  Let’s just say I was easy prey during the late-night infomercial days.  Flowbee anyone?
