Cameron was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and has lived around the greater Philadelphia area his entire life. Cameron was a member of the Transportation Department where he used AutoCAD Civil 3D to create roadway design plans. He worked as a design engineer for about 15 months before he decided that he wanted to shift his focus on another part of the construction industry.

Cameron’s actual journey as a claims consultant began in 2017 when he started as a consultant working for a firm located in New Jersey. He was first exposed to the world of construction claims and gained useful experience to strengthen his skills as a consultant. This experience included schedule delays, cost damages analysis, and assistance in resolving disputes involving lump sum, GMP, and cost-reimbursable contracts. Cameron worked in construction claims for two years before joining the J.S. Held team in October of 2019.

J.S. Held is a global consulting firm with expertise in construction, environmental health and safety, forensic accounting, water and fire restoration, equipment and forensic architecture, and engineering matters. Cameron is a part of the Construction Advisory Services group at JS Held where his role as a consultant specializes in analysis of schedule delays and cost damages. Cameron reviews project records and history to perform analysis of damages that can occur during the lifespan of a construction project. He provides key expertise on acceleration/delay to a project schedule, disruption, loss of productivity, scope changes, and other project damages. Cameron’s expertise allows him to assist with dispute resolution on behalf of the client. Cameron has worked on claims on projects that range from cultural arts centers in New York City to power and utility plants in Saudi Arabia.

Cameron has desired to find new ways to further his professional career, and some of Cameron’s colleagues at JS Held recommended joining a professional organization. He then joined AACE International. Cameron plans on pursuing professional certifications and AACE has the resources that can help him obtain those goals. Cameron has recently got involved with AACE’s Rising Professionals Committee with the goal of developing his professional network. Cameron believes from his involvement with AACE he will be able to strengthen and develop his connections to fellow professionals in the construction industry. He relishes in the opportunity to be able to get his name out there and help establish himself.

Cameron’s advice to the next generation of young professionals would be to get involved with professional organizations as well. It will benefit you in the long run to create professional connections outside of the people you work with directly. There has never been a time like today where you can connect with other professionals in your field.
