AACE Certification Board Announces Project Risk Management Professional (PRMP) Beta-exam Open for Registration
The AACE International Certification Board is pleased to announce the Project Risk Management Professional (PRMP) beta-exam is now open for registration until 4:00 PM (eastern time zone) on Monday, May 3, 2021.
What is a Project Risk Management Professional (PRMP)? A PRMP is an individual who is a skilled and knowledgeable practitioner whose role is to establish an effective risk management plan and implement that plan in accordance with the project/program/portfolio’s objectives. It is the PRMP’s responsibility to clearly communicate in verbal and written forms, both internally and externally.
The Certification Board is soliciting candidates who can meet the eligibility requirements of:
- Minimum of 8 years of industry related experience, or 4-year industry related college degree + 4 years of industry related experience
- Adherence to AACE Canons of Ethics
- Assist with evaluating the examination and its supporting materials
Interested candidates who meet the requirements should understand the steps forward are on an accelerated timeline and the following milestones must be met:
- Registrations for the Beta Exam will have a short window whereby all applicants must complete an application, submit, and pay by the final registration date of 4:00 PM (eastern time zone), Monday, May 3, 2021.
- The study period is short due to an accelerated timeline. Qualified applicants will be provided a Draft PRMP Study Guide and a Draft Recommended Practice that identifies the Required Skills and Knowledge for a PRMP. We must emphasize, the study period is brief.
- The exam itself will be computer-based and offered through online proctoring and is only offered for two weeks (June 1 through June 14). For candidates who cannot meet the computer specifications, an exam may be scheduled at a Kryterion testing center (subject to availability).
- Candidates are required to conduct a detailed critique of the examination, the Study Guide, and the Skills and Knowledge Recommended Practice, and provide meaningful feedback within two weeks after the examination (June 28, 2021). Note: failure to provide this feedback may result in a non-score of the examination.
The key dates to remember are as follows:
- Registrations open: now until Monday, May 3, 2021 (4:00 PM eastern time zone)
- Examinations open: June 1 through June 14, 2021
- Feedback due: June 28, 2021
