The annual Call for Papers has opened at AACE International for submissions for the 2022 Conference & Expo, scheduled June 26-29, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas, at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter.

The annual Call for Papers will remain open through August 31, 2021. This is the only time during the year that AACE accepts abstracts or potential technical papers for peer review and possible future publication in the Cost Engineering journal or the Source site. Submission is not a guarantee that an abstract/paper will be accepted. You must use the abstract form accessed from the above link to submit.

Authors will be notified by mid-October if their submission has been accepted for consideration by the AACE Technical Board. Once an abstract is accepted, authors have until January 31, 2022 to submit the full technical paper. AACE headquarters staff and/or Review Committee volunteers will work with authors to ensure submissions meet AACE requirements. Each technical paper submission must pass review before it will be assigned a presentation slot at the Conference & Expo.

If you submit an abstract for consideration, you agree to attend the 2022 Conference & Expo and present if your technical paper passes peer review and is assigned a presentation timeslot. Failure to show or late cancellation results in disqualification from being able to submit for future conference presentations.

AACE policy is that all technical papers must first be presented at a Conference & Expo to be considered for possible publication. Attendees rank each presentation. A combination of the initial review committee paper score and attendee ranking results in a master list of technical papers approved for potential publication.  All AACE publications are available only in digital format, we offer no print versions. All Conference & Expo technical papers are considered published when included in our Transactions pdf. The top 18 technical papers are picked up and publish in one of the six annual issues of the Cost Engineering journal. Another six technical papers publish as bonus technical articles in the Source site.

You submit one year for the next year’s Conference & Expo. You present at the Conference & Expo and it is that fall or the next year before the top scoring technical papers are picked up and published in the Cost Engineering journal and Source site.
