Hello Ahmed – Some exams (e.g., CCP, CEP) allow you to pick from a select group of memo topics to write your response. Other exams (EVP, PSP) present one memo you’ll need to respond to.

The time allocation varies per candidate. Candidates must manage their exam time to suit their needs. You can save the memo to write after you respond to the multiple-choice questions, or you can write the memo first if you prefer.

If you have any other questions, please contact me at vsmith@aacei.org.

Warm regards,
Valerie

Hello Cindy – There are no sample memos; AACE provides these two articles:

1. How to Write a Memo (for CEP, EVP, PRMP, and PSP): http://web.aacei.org/docs/default-source/certification-documents/what_do_i_have_to_do_to_pass_the_memo.pdf

2. How to Write a CCP Memo: https://www.aacei.org/docs/default-source/certification-documents/docs-update-b4-cobalt-go-live/how-to-write-a-ccp-memo.pdf?sfvrsn=183dc808_1

3. How to Write a DRMP Memo: http://web.aacei.org/docs/default-source/certification-documents/how_to_write_drmp_memo.pdf

Thank you,
Valerie

Additionally, what is the recommended average time to allocate for working on the memo while addressing the other exam questions?

Hello Joby –

Thank you for your feedback. For professionals who face challenges like NDAs or regional norms around recommendation letters, there can still be ways to meet the DRMP eligibility criteria. This will require coordination with the DRMP Committee, so it is best to email me (vsmith@aacei.org) to work on a solution to your situation.

Warm regards,
Valerie

Hello Solomon –

The application fee is $250 for members and $300 for non-members. If approved, the balance of the exam fee is $400 for members and $465 for non-members. This makes the total fee for members $650 for members and $765 for non-members.

If you have any other questions, please contact the certification staff at certification@aacei.org.

Warm regards,
Valerie
